FEEL GOOD FRIDAY
A Day to Remember at BUCKSFEST 2026!
There are events that bring people together, and then there are occasions that create lasting memories. BUCKSFEST 2026 was undoubtedly one of those rare moments.
In what can only be described as a truly unique occasion, the Provincial Grand Master of Buckinghamshire Freemasons opened the gates to his own home, welcoming more than 500 Freemasons, their families, friends, charities and members of the local community for an unforgettable summer celebration. It was a remarkable gesture of hospitality that perfectly reflected the values at the heart of Buckinghamshire Freemasonry friendship, kindness, openness and community.
Set amidst the stunning countryside of Pyrton, guests enjoyed a day surrounded by beautiful rolling landscapes, mature gardens and the peaceful charm that makes this corner of Oxfordshire so special. The idyllic setting provided the perfect backdrop for an afternoon where everyone could leave the formalities behind, relax with family and friends, meet new people and simply enjoy each other’s company.
The sun was shining from the moment the gates were opened to when the last person left, and there was laughter of children enjoying the entertainment to friends catching up over a barbecue. The entertainment did not disappoint too with Trackbax, Amir, not 1 but 2 Elvis' and an amazing Amy Winehouse act to finish off the day! There was a genuine sense of happiness throughout the day and a celebration that demonstrated Freemasonry at its very best not confined within the walls of a Lodge, but living and breathing in the communities it serves.
One of the most inspiring aspects of the day was seeing Freemasons and non-Masons coming together so naturally. Conversations were shared, friendships were formed and misconceptions were quietly replaced with understanding. Events such as this remind us that Freemasonry is about people first and foremost; people who care for one another, support their communities and enjoy spending time together.
While the atmosphere was one of fun and celebration, there was an even greater purpose behind the day. Through the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, valuable funds were raised for charity, demonstrating once again that enjoying ourselves and making a positive difference can go hand in hand. Every ticket purchased, raffle entered and donation made will help support causes that continue to improve lives beyond the event itself. This was highlighted when the Provincial Grand Master presented a cheque for £13,000 to his charity of choice Forever Colours who are based in Buckinghamshire. The Widows Son Masonic Bikers Association also donated £2525, meaning on the day over £15,000 was donated to this local charity which provides valuable support for children and families within the County.
BUCKSFEST 2026 wasn’t simply a summer gathering, it was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose. It showcased the welcoming spirit of Buckinghamshire Freemasonry, celebrated family and friendship, and demonstrated that the principles we practise inside our Lodges are equally important outside them.
For everyone who attended, it was a day filled with smiles, laughter and memories that will last long after the marquees have come down. For those who have never experienced an event like this, it offered a glimpse into a community that values inclusion, generosity and genuine friendship.
If there was one lasting message from BUCKSFEST 2026, it is this: when we open our doors, open our hearts and bring people together, ordinary people do extraordinary things.
