FEEL GOOD FRIDAY
The Lodge of St Barnabas no. 948 were delighted to present a cheque for £1,120.53 today to the Leighton Buzzard based charity
Through a group of trained volunteers, the charity, established in 1995, offers a free, confidential service to patients and families living with a terminal or life limiting illness. It provides an opportunity for the carers to have someone to talk to outside the family unit, or to have free time away from their sometimes stressful and emotional role.
The money was raised from a summer ‘Romanian BBQ’ and a Christmas lunch for members, their families and friends. Lodge members Chris Soper and Andy Cross are pictured (centre) at the cheque handover, with Hospice at Home volunteers (left to right) Jaquie Dixon, Mary King, Dawn Towse and John Canepa.
